Tiropitas and living the 'Greek' life!

Well I can honestly say that the Tziforos girls have fell into living the Greek life with grace and ease! Yesterday, they took a 1.5 hour siesta in the middle of the day, and then went out for a late night dinner.  After dinner and a late night Skype session with Mom, so she could read them some books, they slept for 12 hours straight - from midnight to noon!  12 hours - really?!?  Upon waking they took a leisurely stroll down to the local bakery to pick up tiropitas for breakfast.  They enjoyed their breakfast on the balcony from the apartment they are renting in Athens, and had a dance party to American music.  Dancing to Beyonce while on your balcony in Greece sounds like fun to me!!

Today they wanted to relax, and take it so easy, so after breakfast they made a stop at a local grocery store. Going to the grocery store in another country is always a fun adventure, and one of my favorite things to do - I love to see the different foods and brands that are displayed, and it really helps connect you to where you are.  They picked up a few staples, so they can enjoy some local food without having to go out for every meal.

After lunch they met up with friends from Schaumburg IL that were also traveling in Greece.  I think they really enjoyed seeing some familiar faces, and hanging out!

The night ended with dinner out with the family!!

Good night hugs from Theo Mimi. He is so happy to spend time with girls, and really loves them!!  They went to bed early tonight (9 PM) - they missed their afternoon siesta!
Yia-yia has promised a big breakfast for tomorrow with avgouli (Greek eggs).
